How I Overcame People Bondage Part 1 | Christian Girl Talk

Heyyyy!

So if you are a woman, I am sure you will have experienced what I am about to speak about! That whole matter surrounding ‘what if I lose friends?’ ; ‘…but God what will they say, it’s never been done before!’ ; ‘…..but what will they think of me, no one else thinks this way’ ; ‘ what if everyone stops speaking to me?’ ;  ‘ what if I have to do it alone?’ ; ‘i’m too afraid to stand out, to be the topic of people’s conversations’……………..

This, oh this!!! was one of my biggest but BIGGEST issues for so many years. I was stuck within myself, unable to pursue amazing ideas, faith-inspired decisions and simply be able to be completely myself, for so many years.

It was one of the biggest topics on the table when I spent time with God and my prayers were filled with it too. I remember saying to God many times : “Daddy, I really just want to set my faith free!” I still say this from time to time now, because there are always things to do!!

The more I got to know the Word and the character of God and how He works, the greater this desire to simply live by faith, following the voice of faith even when I don’t understand, stepping out of the boat and truly learning to depend and trust in God, giving Him the space to do the amazing and supernatural and to use me according to His own express purpose.

Someone once said ‘we pray intensely for a miracle to happen and for God to use us in supernatural ways, but in the same breath, after the amen, we also pray that He may never put us in circumstances that allow for a miracle to happen’.

How true is that?!!

This here, is my personal experience as to how I, Marilyn Ama, not someone else, (not necessarily how you will), managed to finally overcome people bondage, and how I still do on a day-to-day basis. I will share my practical ways of overcoming it and hopeful it will also gear you towards the same victory!

Watch out for the next post!
