This one is for me right now, right here, and in this very moment. So, I work full-time doing a pretty hectic job, I recently started my YouTube channel , I have this beautiful blog of mine, and now I will be starting an intensive course to qualify for my current role at work.
Alongside all of this, I am working on my own personal projects…..so I am beginning to feel it now, I actually am
This morning, whilst in one of my work meetings (which I only got out at 2pm for lunch……my belly was HUNGRY!! looool), I was talking to God in my mind and asking how to go about making sure I carry out all I need to do and do my best in everything.
After eating, I did some research on Bible verses for when I feel overwhelmed and on how to be organised. This really spoke to me :
Luke 14 : 28 – 30
“But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it? Otherwise, you might complete only the foundation before running out of money, and then everyone would laugh at you. They would say, ‘There’s the person who started that building and couldn’t afford to finish it!’
What this explained to me is that I need to plan ahead in order to make sure I am able to accomplish everything at the right time and do it well. When I plan ahead, I can clearly see when and how I am able to utilise my time for particular things, as well as detect any problems I may encounter and even create a solution for them way ahead of time.
So for example, my trip to Korea is in 2 weeks now (Can I hear a WOOOPPPP??!!!! *I’m going to believe you said it loool*), at the same time as this, I have deadlines at work, other commitments during the week, and my course induction next Monday which requires me to submit some work in 3 days .
In order to make sure I pack everything on time and don’t forget anything, I decided to begin ironing my clothes today. I have also started making a list of any items I still need to buy and any things I can’t put in the suitcase yet till the night before or the morning of etc.
I have scheduled and will continue to schedule some posts here on the blog so I can stay as up to date as I can, and I will be doing the same for my YouTube channel.
I have put down all necessary dates for my course into my calendar with 1 week and 2 day alerts to make sure I do not miss any deadlines. Do you get the drift?
Planning ahead saves us much hassle and reduces failures and disappointments. Now I am not going to say I will be like Level 5000 all the time. I won’t. But planning ahead will help me stay on track far better and do much more!
I’d love to hear how you manage when you are hit with a load of things to do. Leave your comments down below.
