I know, I know, for those of you who follow the blog posts and wait for the posts, I know!! 2 weeks have passed since my last post sorry!! On a good note, I’ve started back on my YouTube Channel!! *whooooopppp, does a dance!*
Anyway, let’s get back to what I wanted us to talk about today. I hope you never feel I’m talking at you, rather that we are walking this thing out together, because that’s truly how it is, and we will make it!
God has been trying to take us back to a life of dependence on Him, as shown in the garden of Eden. When I read through the Old Testament, I see why it was necessary for God to give us His only Son, why Jesus had to be sacrificed for our sake.
We have a heart desiring to please and serve God, but we are very helpless human beings. If you don’t believe me, read through the Old Testament, without a doubt, you will come across such a prominent trend with God’s people. They would sin, turn away from God, God will allow them to fall into the consequences of their sin, they will be overtaken by their enemies and destroyed, then come to the realisation they need to turn back to God. They will then make sacrifices and heartfelt promises and vows to NEVER turn away from God again. Give it a couple of months, sometimes even a day, and there they were, back to the same old filthy sin. Then the cycle would start again.
Don’t you see the same trend with us in today’s society? I’m not even talking about those who do not believe in Christ, I’m talking about us who believe. Over and over again we fall (this includes mistakes) and get up, fall and get up.
Jesus came to die for all the sins we have already committed, are committing and will commit in the future. He did this, because even God Himself came to the realisation that there was no way we can save ourselves!
Guys, when I tell you I am learning so much about salvation and the true plan of God, it’s truly mind-blowing! It is so important for us to actually spend time seeking the Truth for ourselves, reading the bible. It’s free!!!!
